If we want people to actually do something with the info they gather — whether that’s change their behaviour, take an action, or buy something — we have to get them feeling something first.
No emotional response → no decision.
(This is neuroscience, btw, not just me making shit up)

Emotions: are they appropriate in books?
What books have you read that made you laugh, or cry, or enraged?
How did they get you to tap into those feelings?
Set a timer for 5 minutes and write!
