What comes to mind when you think of Cyber Monday?
For me, it’s an overloaded inbox.
Full of people all saying the same thing, for the same reason.
Don’t get me wrong: I love a bargain and I will use a discount joyously…
But all the guff in my inbox bores and overwhelms me.
From time to time, something deliciously new drops in and catches my eye.
Perhaps the subject line doesn’t contain the words “black Friday” or “cyber Monday” or perhaps it makes me laugh.
Mostly, though, it’s the same nonsense from everyone.
Haven’t really got a point, other than to suggest — look at what everyone else is doing or saying, and do or say something different.
Not to be deliberately obnoxious or argumentative.
But to be interesting.
I refuse to believe that everyone thinks the same damn way all the time. Put things together that haven’t been put together before. Look at the world from a different angle or point of view.
Then write about that.
Set a timer, and go.
