Day 6: A Sunday roast

Day 6: A Sunday roast

Well, in compiling this calendar of prompts, I learn all sorts of things—and today, I learned about St Piran.

St Piran is central to the culture and identity of Cornwall and Cornish people. He’s their patron saint, and also the patron saint of tin miners, who were particularly abundant in that part of the country. Because tin was abundant there. Obvs.

If you’re looking for a party on March 5, schlep down to Cornwall and you’ll get one.

I love finding out about patron saints. My favourite is St Annoia, the patron saint of things getting stuck in drawers (invented by Terry Pratchett).

What’s yours?

Set a timer for 5 minutes and scribble it down.

And also you can get my book here if you haven’t already.

TTFN,

Vicky
