Sarah wrote her first book, Small Island Big Business, with my help — then came back, knowing she wanted to dive in again.
This time, the book idea was a quirky mix of travel stories and a much-needed mindset shift for translators who hate the idea of marketing. She had enthusiasm and ideas, but what she really needed was help shaping everything into a book that made sense, felt right, and actually got done.
The struggle
It’s one thing to have ideas swirling around your head, but quite another to turn those into a book, right? Sarah was struggling to pin down exactly what the book should be, how to structure it, and, frankly, just wanted some feedback to know she was on the right track. She also wanted a group dynamic — a space to work alongside others, hear their questions, and know she wasn’t doing it all alone.
Enter MicroBook Magic
So she jumped into MicroBook Magic last year. The group energy really clicked for her — getting to see other people on the calls, hearing their questions (which, surprise, were super relevant to her own project), and having a space to chat in between sessions in the Voxer group.
But what Sarah found super helpful were the daily mini videos. The course is broken down into bite-sized tasks, making it easier to chip away at the book without feeling overwhelmed. The templates were a game-changer, too. They helped to refine the idea and get everything organised without getting bogged down in the details.
And then there was the personalised feedback. This was huge. Sending me an intro and getting my thoughts on what worked, where to dig deeper, and how to pull the pieces together was exactly what Sarah needed. It gave her that extra bit of confidence to keep moving forward.
The result
By the end of the course, Sarah had a clear, refined draft of her book, Your Ticket to Explore. It’s filled with tales from her travels, mixed with practical advice for translators who aren’t fans of marketing. MicroBook Magic helped her to stay focused and kept the whole project feeling manageable. And fun!
As Sarah said, “MicroBook Magic was a really great course that anyone should do if they’re thinking about writing a book. It helps you narrow that focus down, and at the end of the process, you’ll have something you’re proud to present to the world and happy to publish.”
That’s the beauty of MicroBook Magic — it’s not just about writing short books. It’s about getting the support, structure, and confidence to actually finish your book, whether it’s 50 pages or 500.
If you want to make like Sarah and write a book of your own — or maybe your second or third book — and you’d like to do it in a friendly group of people who are kinda like you, this is your chance.
